Answer the moment in front of you
Open a companion and begin a chat. Before writing, notice what the greeting has already established: where you are, how you know the character and what has just happened.
Adjust the writing, not every part of the setup
Keep one scene while trying a new setting. If you change the cast, prompt and model at once, it becomes harder to tell which choice made the difference.
- Use Regenerate when you want a different reply to the same moment.
- Use Continue when the current response needs to carry on.
- Writing Style offers Short, Default and Long options in Chat Settings.
- Put a lasting preference in Custom Instructions, such as not writing dialogue for your character.
Choose among the available text models
The documented options include Nectar Basic, Orchid Lite, Fuchsia, DeepSeek V4 Flash, Primrose, Hibiscus and Orchid. Beta availability and account access can affect what appears in Models.
The comparison indicators describe areas such as consistency, creativity and descriptiveness. Read them as guidance for a test, not a promise about every individual message. Your text model is separate from image generation.
Keep an established fact within reach
Memory is where you can review or add details that should remain part of the story. Check existing entries before saving a new version, and use the important setting for up to ten memories.
Conversation context has a limit. A new chat also needs its own relevant facts; it does not automatically inherit the previous chat's memories.
